Yes, you read correct. SEA is pairing up with Brick Squad’s very own Waka Flocka Flame for a charitable cause. David Baron and Zeshan Muhammed launched the brand in college with a mission of giving back to charities. The duo got creative by making each color represent a different charity, and spreading the word through “crowdsourced campaigns.”
Please don’t underestimate Baron and Muhammed. Both have worked with many artists including Pittsburgh rapper, Mac Miller. Therefore, it’s no surprise for them to be working with Flocka for this “#WakaNewYear” snapback cap. Flocka quotes, “I’m an artist who came up because of support from my friends, fans and family. The fact that SEA can connect all of them to a cause that will touch people in the hood, people who are underprivileged, and people who have limitations to sharing their gift moves me. My chance came. Now it’s time to use that chance to help someone else.” Well said.
As shown below, this hat is quite simple featuring “SEA” in a cursive type font embroidered with a small brand insignia in the back next to the snaps. The main attraction is the choice of colorways. Which will be picked by vote by fans via the SEA Facebook Page [HERE] or Waka’s Facebook Page [HERE].
“#WakaNewYear is a three-day campaign that will allow fans to choose one of three causes they want to support, which charity will benefit from the fundraising, and finally, the two colors that will comprise the special snapback. Like all of SEA’s caps, 25% of all proceeds will be donated to the chosen cause/charity.”
