QUIKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE AIKAU “Hilo” Trucker Snapback Caps
The QUIKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE AIKAU is a big wave surf competition held only under the right conditions. Although planned annually (this season for Dec 1-Feb 29), the competition doesn’t occur unless waves are towering at Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. For the uninformed, Eddie Aikau was a Hawaiian surfer who sacrificed his life to save his fellow crew mates when the Hōkūle’a voyaging canoe he was traveling on capsized in 1978. QUIKSILVER commemorates this years possible competition with the Hilo trucker snapback cap series. A total of 3 designs all inspired by the competition are available.
