The snapback hat has always played a major role in professional sport drafts. It seems that this role has diminished somewhat in recent years but I’m sure there is no feeling greater than hearing your name called on draft day, walking to the stage and getting handed the cap for your new team. The caps of today are more elaborate than the ones of yesteryear, often overdone with colors and patterns. I miss the snapbacks of old, particularly those from the NBA drafts of the eighties, arguably the best decade for the snapback cap. If you need me to prove it, check the pick in the post featuring some of the snapbacks given to the NBA draft class of 1986. Those were the days.
