1985 marked the 17th season for the San Diego Padres and the team just came of a National League Championship the season prior. Though 1985 did not bring about the same success the Padres had the year before as the team finished 83-79. Aside from the team’s dip in performance, the San Diego Padres welcomed in a brand new logo which featured the team name in script-form sloped with a new set of colors as well – ditching the original Padres logo which featured a friar swinging a baseball bat. The colors also changed from Brown and Gold to Brown and Orange which will be used up until 1990. Pictured here is part of NEW ERA‘s “Cooperstown Collection” which features the 1985 San Diego Padres. The 9Fifty snapback cap comes in with a Brown base, with the ‘SD’ logo embroidered and raised in Orange at the front panel. This snapback is currently available over here www.neweracapkorea.com.
